JAKARTA - Various car manufacturers from China never stop making new innovations, one of which is launching cars at very affordable prices, such as the Zhindou brand.

Quoting from the Carnewschina page, Friday, April 19, Zhindou launched Rainbow Mini EV with a total of five variants, which is priced quite interesting, namely the range from 31,900 to 43,900 yuan, or around Rp71 million to Rp98 million.

It is known, Zhidou is one of the Chinese brands entering the new energy mini car market, with his first model launched in May 2014, which later changed its name to Zhidou D1. Furthermore, Zhidou launched Zhidou D2 and Zhidou D3, both maintaining a three-door layout and two seats.

However, due to various factors, Zhidou gradually disappeared from the market until he returned to the market in October 2023 after completing his capital strategy reorganization. Now, Geely CEO Gan Jiayue serves as company leader.

Back to Zhidou Rainbow has a dimensions of length of 3,224 mm, a width of 1,515 mm and a height of 1,630 mm with a wheel distance of 2100 mm, adopting a three-door layout and four seats.

In design, this car is very unique, such as equipped with Big Dipper headlights, carbon fiber external rearview mirrors, Y-shaped lights. Moreover, it is available in seven exterior colors, namely pink, purple, brown, yellow, cyan, green, and brown, and suitable for use in urban areas.

Entering the cabin, the interior is classified as cute thanks to a pink background featuring a double-bar steering wheel, a 5-inch full LCD instrument panel, and a 9-inch car center control screen. The physical key type of kenop is maintained under the central control screen. Meanwhile, the standard baggage length is 390 mm, and the storage volume can be expanded to 1,034 L by folding the rear seat.

All of these variants are powered by a 20 kW/85 Nm electric motor or 30 kW/125 Nm, paired with a lithium iron phosphate battery package supplied by Guoxuan Hi-Tech. Battery packages are available at 9.98 kWh, 17.18 kWh, and 17.3 kWh capacities, which are equivalent to CLTC cruising power of 125 km, 205 km, and 201 km, respectively.

Furthermore, in the next three years, Zhindou plans to launch eight models, and in the next five years, a total of 16 models.
