JAKARTA - After being introduced globally, Thursday, March 28, the Xiaomi SU7 electric car received a positive response thanks to its advanced technology and futuristic design.

This exceeds Xiaomi's expectations of a new player in the automotive industry, Xiaomi claims to receive more than 80,000 orders for its first electric car in the Chinese market.

Reporting from CarNewsChina, Monday, April 1, the company pocketed 88,898 orders within 24 hours of launch. Meanwhile, the test drive service is full of potential buyers and has been open since last Friday which is available in 59 stores in 29 cities in China.

The Xiaomi SU7 will be present at three trim levels, namely entry-level, Pro, and Max. The three of them have their own advantages that can be offered to potential buyers.

The basic trim is equipped with a 73.6 kWh battery that produces 299 hp of power, armed with a limited battery can cover a distance of 700 km in a CLTC count. In addition, it can recharge the battery as far as 310 km in just 15 minutes, which is priced at 215,900 yuan or around Rp474 million.

In addition, the middle trim or Pro offers a 94.3 kWh battery that can cover a distance of 830 km, which is priced at 245,900 yuan or around Rp540 million.

Finally, there is the highest trim or Max is equipped with a 101 kWh battery which is able to cover a distance of up to 810 km per charge. The arrangement of the AWD dual motorcycle produces 673 hp and recharges as much as 510 km in just 15 minutes, about the price reaching 299,900 yuan (Rp 658 million).

In assembling SU7, Xiaomi will produce it at the Beijing plant. The manufacturer said the facility would make 150,000 vehicles in the first phase and increase to 300,000 in the second phase.

Mass production of this car has begun, but customers can only get the car by the end of April this year.
