G318 Depal Officially Debuts In China, Off-Road Car With Additional Electricity

JAKARTA - The new energy vehicle brand Deepal from Changan officially launched its third model, G318, at the Deepal G318 Experience Day and Deepal Super Range Extension Technology Evolution Day.

The G318 will be the third model of the brand and the brand is currently being sold in China and Thailand. Deepal is targeting to sell 450,000 cars worldwide this year, which is a tremendous achievement if realized considering they only have three vehicle models.

Citing CarNewsChina, Tuesday, March 19, the latest third model from the Deepal brand will play on an off-road segment that uses coverage extension EV technology. The car is available with seven exterior color options and three interior colors.

In specification, this car with the name inspired by the national highway that runs from Shanghai to Zhangmu on the Chinese border and Nepal comes with a dashing design, the vicinity of the front light cluster forms a large, sturdy C-letter and front grip. In addition to the back, the car has a trunk of a side opening that is perfect for off-roaders.

In more detail, it has a length dimension of 5,010 mm, a width of 1,985, a height of 1,960 with a wheelbase distance of 2880mm. There is a fairly wide baggage room of 818 liters with a towing capacity that uses an optional crane hook of 1600 kg.

G318 uses a 1.5T engine with a power of 110 kW to generate additional electric power. Single-motor version gets an 185 kW motorcycle and the all-wheel drive version adds a 131 kW motor up front. For the acceleration of the dual motorcycle version of 6.3 seconds 0-100 km/hour. Meanwhile, the pure electric range is 190 km (CLTC).

The G318 uses cell-to-pack and cell-to-vehicle technology with the Golden Bell 2.0 battery system, where the system is claimed to reduce volume while increasing torque rigidity.

There is no information on the price being shared, it is estimated that around 300,000 yuan or around Rp655 million, and official sales will begin in the second quarter of this year.
