All New Honda Civic Type R And New Honda Brio Ready To Hit ISOM 2024

JAKARTA The Honda Racing Indonesia (HRI) team is ready to hit the 2024 season national racing arena with two new cars: All New Honda Civic Type R and New Honda Brio. These two cars will compete in the 2024 Touring Indonesia Sentul Series of Motorsport (ISSOM) racing event.

Yusak Billy, Sales & Marketing and After Sales Director of PT Honda Prospect Motor, emphasized that HRI is always committed to presenting tough and competitive racing cars.

"For us, racing events are proof of the toughness of a product. Therefore, we always lower racing cars that have production specifications from the latest models that we market," said Billy at the Sentul Circuit, Bogor, West Java, Sunday, March 3.

All New Honda Civic Type R, the flagship sport car Honda, is ready to dominate the ITCR 3600 Max class with the FL5 chassis code. This car carries a 2.0 Liter VTEC Turbo engine that produces a maximum power of 319 PS and a maximum torque of 420 Nm. Civic Type R has broken the record as the fastest front-wheel drive car on the 67ka, Japan and Nurburgring circuits, Germany. Senior racer Alvin Bahar will cross this car.

"If nothing changes, but only changes the comfort that is intended for racing," said racer Alvin Bahar.

Meanwhile, New Honda Brio will fight in the ITCR 1,200 class with two riders, Avila Bahar and Andri Abirezky. Brio is equipped with 1.2L i-VTEC 4 cylinders powered by 90 PS, the largest in its class, as well as fuel-efficient.

Honda's Commitment To National Racing

As a form of Honda's commitment to support the development of national racing, HRI is again holding the Honda Brio Speed Challenge (HBSC) and Honda City Hatchback of Speed Challenge Hospital (HCHSC). These two events are forums for beginner and professional racers to show off.

"As our commitment to realizing Everyone Can Race, we are also holding the Honda Brio Speed Challenge (HBSC) and Honda City Hatchback of Speed Challenge Hospital (HCHSC) which are competition events ranging from beginner to professional racers," explained Yusak Billy.

HBSC is entering its 11th year, while HCHSC is entering its 3rd year. These two events have become the most consistent and most participants' One Make Race racing agenda. By 2023, HBSC has been followed by more than 150 people, and HCHSC by more than 40 people.

This season, Honda has awarded a total prize of more than IDR 400 million to the winners of the One Make Race championship.
