JAKARTA - Recently, the Great Wall Motor (GWM) officially signifies its commitment to selling environmentally friendly cars in the country by presenting 500 HEV and Haval H6 HEV Tanks at the BCA Expoversary 2024 event.

These two models were introduced earlier in the 2023 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) last August at the same time as the Ora 03 electric car.

Thus, this manufacturer from China sells its first two models by carrying Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) technology, in contrast to companies from other bamboo curtain countries that sell EVs first in Indonesia, such as BYD and Neta.

Hari Arifianto, as Marketing Director of PT GWM Motor Indonesia, said that HEV products are in great demand by many people because this segment offers convenience by offering fuel efficiency depending on its use.

He added that currently there are still concerns from the public about the pure EV due to the lack of charging facilities, so it is less effective in the electric vehicle ecosystem.
