Acura Announces The Price Of ZDX's First Electric Car Worth IDR 1 Billion

JAKARTA - Acura, a premium automotive brand from Japan, officially announced the price of their first electric car, ZDX, which will soon be available on US dealers' networks starting this spring.

This sub-brand from Honda sets the initial price of ZDX starting at 64,500 US dollars or around Rp1 billion for type A-Spec. Meanwhile, the high-performance variant, Type S, is priced at 73,500 US dollars or equivalent to Rp1.150 billion.

Emile Korkor, Assistant Vice President of Acura National Sales, stated that ZDX not only offers environmentally friendly technology but also high performance.

"ZDX and high-performance ZDX Type S are an interesting addition to our lineup of performance SUVs. Our Acura dealer network is ready, and we can't wait for our Acura clients to drive our first all-electric model," Emile said in an official statement from the company, Tuesday, January 23.

Acura ZDX 2024 carries an exterior design inspired by the Acura Precision EV Concept preview model, which has previously been exhibited. The car has a long wheelbase, sleek silhouette, and reflects on the new era of this brand.

The outer dipoles with the front fascia equipped with the lighting of the DRL LED Jewel Eye, the trademark of the brand. Grills of pentagon diamonds with a flaring 3D effect adds to the luxury of the front.

The inside of the car also offers premium comfort with a 22-inch HD digital screen that combines an 11-inch cluster display with an integrated 11-inch central information display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Speakers from Bang & Olufsen, a premium audio system brand from Denmark, provide the highest quality in line with the identity of Acura ZDX.

Using the General Motors (GM) platform, namely Ultium, Acura ZDX is equipped with extraordinary performance as the first electric vehicle from this manufacturer.

The ZDX A-Spec variant is equipped with a rear electric motor driver with a power of about 340 dk. There is also a dual electric all-wheel drive configuration and motor. While the Type S variant, as the highest variant, has up to 500 dk of power, makes it the most powerful car ever produced by Acura, providing a unique driving experience.

These two variants use 102 kWh of battery, allowing ZDX A-Spec to advance up to 506 km to 523 km in single charge, while the Type S variant is capable of traveling up to 463 km.
