Kia EV9 Officially Listed In Singapore, The Price Is Almost Doubled From Indonesia

JAKARTA - Kia, an automotive brand from South Korea, intends to expand its line of electric vehicles to the Southeast Asian market, one of which is Singapore by presenting EV9.

Reporting from Paultan, Tuesday, January 16, the car was presented at the Singapore Motorshow which was held recently. Just like Indonesia, Kia only sells single variants, namely GT-Line.

The exterior design of this car is inspired by the philosophy of "Bold for Nature", which combines natural and material elements. The EV9 design is also considered a milestone for the design of the future electric SUV.

SUVs with three-line configurations come with several standard equipment, such as a 19-inch aero rim, LED lighting, sunscreen, glowing grip with pixel pattern, as well as a pullable door handle.

Inside the cabin, there are three screens, including a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, a 5.3-inch climate control touch screen, and a 12.3-inch navigation touchscreen that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Other interesting features in Kia EV9 include wireless charging for devices, a heating steering wheel, six USB-C ports, and a dual-zone AC system on the front and rear hanging on the roof.

To improve driver safety and safety, Kia also provides features such as Smart Cruise Control, Blind-Spot Collision Avoidance Assist (BCCA) with Near-Cross Traffic Assist (RCTA), 360-degree views through monitors, and nine airbags spread across three cabin lines.

The top variant in the global market has a lithium-ion polymer battery with a capacity of 99.8 kWh which can provide a range of up to 512 km according to WLTP calculations. This car is also compatible with 11 kW AC charging and can charge 10-80 percent in 8 hours 7 minutes and 350 kW DC fast-charger which can fill 10-80 percent in 24 minutes.

For the kitchen runway, EV9 is equipped with a dual electric motor that is connected by driving all wheels (AWD), so that it can produce 380 dk of power and 700 Nm of torque and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/hour in 6 seconds.

Entering the premium electric vehicle (EV) market in Southeast Asia, this model is priced at 289,999 Singapore dollars or equivalent to IDR 3.3 billion. Thus, the market price in Singapore is higher than Indonesia, which is only IDR 1.975 billion. This is due to the high vehicle tax in Singapore.
