Nissan Reveals Another High Performance Model At Tokyo Auto Salon 2024, Ariya Nismo?

JAKARTA - Nissan will again make a breakthrough by immediately launching a new model from its top performance division, Nismo. Not only that, this latest car is called the most powerful version of Ariya ever made.

Reporting from Carscoops, Wednesday, January 10, the Japanese manufacturer will launch the model at the Tokyo Auto Salon, taking place on January 12 tomorrow and will be broadcast on the official 'Wissan' channel on Youtube.

Based on the silhouette displayed by the company, the design line resembles the Ariya and resembles the prototype model that has been tested previously on the Nurburgring circuit, Germany. Positioned as a more powerful car, of course the appearance will be sporty and more aggressive compared to the standard.

The latest report from Japanese media, Mag X, Monday, January 8, said that the model was Ariya Nismo with an official presentation slide that revealed an increase in this vehicle.

The upgrade starts from the exterior, Nismo's special bodykit includes a rear bumper that is redesigned with a prominent splitter, combined with a similar extension to the side frame and rear bumper. There is additional spoiler lip on the back door, and a new set of 20-inch Enkei rims wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport tires.

Based on leaked documents, this model will be offered in single-tone colors, consisting of Prism White, Dark Metal Gray, as well as Midnight Black and bi-tone, consisting of Prism White, Deep Ocean Blue, and Stealth Gray, equipped with Midnight Black on the roof.

While the inside features a set of bucket seats, a more sporting steering wheel, a black roofliner, and a large number of aggressive red accents.

Nissan also took advantage of the ability of Nismo division to make this car much more agile with stiffer suspension settings with rearranged damping. The braking and steering system is changed to electronic settings for more maximum performance. In addition, the new Nismo driving mode will reportedly add a sound effect of Formula E to improve the overall experience.

Unfortunately, information about its performance is still limited. As an illustration, the most powerful Ariya currently has a dual electric motor producing a combined 389 dk of power and a 599 Nm torque. It is likely that the Nismo version has a much larger power. Meanwhile, Ariya Nismo will be available with a choice of 63 kWh and 87 kWh of batteries.

In the Tokyo Auto Salon 2024 event, the model will join another high-performance car developed by Nismo, namely GT-R, Z, and Skyline.
