Jaecool J7, Claimed To Have High Acceleration And Tempting Specifications

JAKARTA- Jaecoo, one of Chery's brand entities, will bring J7 into its first car for the Malaysian market, which was launched in the second quarter of 2024.

Quoting from the Paultan page, Sunday, January 7, J7 is positioned as an off-roader premium, which will be issued in two variants, namely All Wheel Drive (AWD) or all wheel drive and Front Wheel Drive (FWD) driving fronts with seven selected modes.

The car, which comes with an elegant design, will carry a four-cylindrical gasoline-fueled engine, 1.6 liters of turbocharged which produces 194 hp of power with a torque of 290 Nm. J7 is claimed to have a speed of 0-100 km/hour within eight seconds.

In terms of dimensions, J7 is 4.500 mm long, 1,865 mm wide, 1,680 mm high, 2,672 mm wheelbase and 200 mm ground clearance (GC), also has 412 liters of baggage space. The specifications make J7 commensurate with the Toyota Corolla Cross, as well as smaller than the Mazda CX-5.

Various interesting features are embedded in this one model, such as head-up, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, 14.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and panoramic sunscreen. Both variants will be equipped with 19-inch rims inspired by Aurora, day-to-day LED lights, two-level LED headlights, to leather seat.

As for the driver safety and assistance system, J7 comes with 21 smart driving functions (smart drives), such as automatic emergency braking (AEB), front collision warning, lane departure warning, lane departure prevention, emergency lane keeping, intelligence evacuation system, curve speed assistance, lead car departure notification, an around-view monitor, door opening warning and park assist.

The final price is not yet available for now, but it is estimated that the price level of the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro currently being priced at 159,800 ringgit or around Rp532 million, and the J7 will be assembled locally.

Jaecool is expected to enter the Indonesian market this year. J7 was caught on camera several times being tested on the road. Of course it is worth waiting to enliven the automotive market.
