This Is What The Nissan Skyline GT-R Jadul Is Modified Like An Off-Road Safari Car

JAKARTA - It is undeniable that the Nissan Skyline GT-R has its own appeal for Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) lovers. This model is often the subject of modifications that increase its aesthetic value and functionality.

One example is the Skyline GT-R R32 model from the early 1990s. This car underwent a modification transformation of the safari adventure style carried out by Youtuber Adam LZ. Some significant changes are applied to this vehicle, providing extraordinary off-road capabilities.

Reporting from Carscoops, Wednesday, January 3, this model experienced an increase in special suspensions, equipped with several off-road accessories, and an upgraded engine. The modified project, dubbed the 'GTR safari', is in the spotlight.

The modification process begins when the car is in an alarming condition, without an engine, thus providing full potential to be modified. Reportedly, this modification process was successfully completed in less than three weeks.

The characteristic feature of this GTR Safari is the increased ground clearance height, similar to the general off-road car specifications, thanks to the long travel custom suspension which is more resilient in reducing impacts. To support off-road performance, the Nitto Nomad Grappler 215/65R17 tires cover 17-inch rims.

To support the need for travel in the wild, this car is equipped with a NISMO brand roof rack, as well as additional lights to increase lighting. In addition, the front bumper is protected by a special batch bar equipped with an LED light.

The engine is powered by RB26's powertrain which has been upgraded with theANG GTX3576 Gen 2, the latest ECU, Intercooler from PWR, and other additional components, generating up to 500 dk of power.

Despite focusing on toughness, the Skyline GT-R R32 still maintains flexibility with a four-wheel drive system (4WD) that can be converted into a rear wheel drive (RWD) according to driver's needs.
