Electric Sedan From Exeed Sub Brand Chery Officially Launches, Reaching Up To 905 Km

JAKARTA - The brand of electric car manufacturer Chery through its sub-brand, Exeed, officially launched its first electric sedan, Sterra ES, which was introduced in the middle of last year.

Quoted from the ArenaEV page, Friday, December 22, the car immediately became a rival to Xiaomi's EV, offering two trim levels, first based on a regular 400 V platform and the highest variant comes with a 800 V high voltage platform.

The price, for the lower trim of the car, is priced at more than 225,800 yuan or around Rp490 million, offering a 550 range based on CLTC calculations, and the expensive version offers a range of up to 905 km.

In addition, this all-electric sedan is offered in five configurations, consisting of four single-motor versions that offer a maximum power of 185 kW and 230 kW. Where the double-motor version is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/hour within 3.7 seconds, thanks to the output of a combined power of 473 hp.

In more detail, the Stero ES has a length dimension of 4,945 mm, a width of 1,978 mm, and a height of 1,467 mm, and a wheelbase of 3,000 mm.

Interestingly, the Sterra ES battery can cover a distance of 150 km with just five minutes of short charging and promises 30 to 80 percent of charging in just 15 minutes.

Meanwhile, the entry of the air suspension, which used to be only intended for high-end vehicles, underscores Exeed's commitment to combining luxury with mainstream electric vehicles.

To reach more customers, Exeed reportedly quickly expanded its dealer network, eyeing more than 460 stores in China by 2024.
