JAKARTA - Mercedes-Benz officially released the latest Mercedes-AMG SL 63 S E Performance model. This car is claimed to be the most powerful SL model ever.

SL has always been an icon in the Mercedes-Benz portfolio. This latest version of the legendary roadster transfers this status to the future. The first and most important thing is the new SL 63 S E Performance by carrying its innovative technology and making it the most powerful member of the SL family, "said Michael Schiebe, CEO of Mercedes-AMG GmbH, on the company's website.

SL 63 S E Performance carries an aerodynamic design developed by the high performance division, AMG. This design presents hidden elements at the bottom of the vehicle body useful for creating Venturi effects in order to reduce the lifting of the front doubles.

In addition, the manufacturer also presents ceramic composite brakes with a bronze Kaliper six pistons on the front and a piston on the back. The paint has a size of 420 mm up front and 380 mm behind.

Light multi-spoke rims developed by 20-inch AMG with a width of 9.5 inches up front and 11 inches behind also complement the appearance of this car.

Sports and aggressive impressions also move to the interior. Carrying a 2+2 configuration, SL 63 S E Performance is equipped with an AMG sports seat that is integrated with a head back. Also provided is an MBUX infotainment system that displays various interior settings.

SL 63 S E Performance is equipped with a 4.0 liter V8 engine combined with an AMG Electric Drive Unit. This combination produces 816 dk of power and 1,420 Nm of torque.

The impressive engine is integrated with the 4 Matic+ all-wheel drive driving system with the AMG Speedshift MCT 9G transmission.

Thus, SL 63 S E Performance can go from 0 to 100 km/h within 2.9 seconds and can reach the highest speed of 317 km/hour.

SL 63 S E Performance is equipped with lithium-ion batteries that take inspiration from Mercedes race car technology AMG Petronas F1 Team. This AMG High Performance battery offers a different high performance than usual.
