Nissan Skyline Will Be Born Again Into An EV Fastback And SUV?

JAKARTA - Nissan appears to be seriously working on electric vehicles, proving to be making an electric version of Juke and Qashqai, two of its best-selling SUVs in the UK.

Not only that, Nissan is also rumored to be presenting its iconic sports car, the all-electric Skyline, which will be present as a fastback and SUV, quoted from the Electrek page, Wednesday, November 29.

As is known at the beginning of the year to be precise in March, Nissan teased the R32 Skyline GT-R of electricity which turned out to be a conversion project. However, a report from the Japanese outlet Best Car Web in November stated that the car would be reborn as an electric SUV.

According to the report, the Skyline SUV will be based on Nissan Ariya, which is expected to debut in 2025, meanwhile the car is rumored to have more than 450 hp of power, and will be sold under the Infinity brand for the United States market.

Nissan has released the Skyline crossover in Japan but lost in competing with the cheap SUV in its class. More importantly, the crossover is not popular with Skyline buyers, the fastback version may help keep its legacy alive in the electric era.

As is known, Skyline's name is certainly familiar to car lovers, especially the Japanese Domestic Market (JDM). Even though he is not young, 34 years old, Skyline is still one of Nissan's most proud models.

There is still not much information about the fastback and SUV from Nissan Skyline, but it is worth waiting for Nissan's latest breakthrough in the electric vehicle segment.
