The 6th Generation Honda CR-V Starts Selling In Malaysia, The Price?

JAKARTA - After being caught on camera wrapped in camouflage stickers several times on the streets of Malaysia, now the sixth generation Honda CR-V can be ordered in the neighboring country.

Reporting from the Paultan page, Friday, November 17, Honda Malaysia (HM) confirmed that the launch of this car will take place in December.

In accordance with the Indonesian and Thai markets, this model will be available in the Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) version. This car will be equipped with a 2.0L e:HEV engine that produces 184 PS and 335 Nm of torque, combined with the eCVT. This figure is 20 Nm larger than that of Civic e: HEV, with a choice of 1.5L VTEC.

The latest generation Honda CR-V will also be present at the hospital's most sporting trim level for the first time. With the front facilities that look more sporty, all the headlights are equipped with LEDs, including running lights. This car will be equipped with 18-inch black-lined rims, and a more attractive grip. There is also Active Shutter Grille in the lower front bumper for a more aerodynamic performance.

The leading features include a 12-speaker Bose audio system and a 360-degree camera. The car is also equipped with advanced safety features, such as Honda Sensing, and Honda Connect that allow connectivity with mobile phones.

Although there is no indication of a price yet, it is estimated that the price of this latest model will exceed the previous generation which was priced at 170,400 ringgit or around Rp564 million, even predicted to reach a figure above 200,000 ringgit or more than Rp600 million.

For additional information, the All-New Honda CR-V recently achieved five-star safety values in the ASEAN NCAP (New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asia) safety test.

Honda CR-V has also arrived in Indonesia with a choice of hybrid engines for more efficient fuel consumption and more powerful power. Available in five color choices, including Anyon River Blue Metallic, Ignite Red Metallic (RS), Platinum White Pearl, Meteoroid Gray Metallic, and Crystal Black Pearl.

Regarding prices in Indonesia, from VOI's monitoring on the official Honda Indonesia website, the All New Honda CR-V 1.5L Turbo is priced at IDR 739 million, while the New Honda CR-V 2.0L RS e: HEV is sold at a price in the range of IDR 804 million.
