Mini Officially Launches The Latest Generation Countryman Today

JAKARTA - Mini officially introduced the latest generation Countryman today to be the first Mini model produced in Germany. This is also the largest model in the ranks of brands from England that have experienced reshuffles.

The countryman of the latest generation has dimension greater than its predecessor. With a length of 4,433 millimeters, a width of 1,843 millimeters, and a height of 1,656 millimeters, this car will be exhibited in public at IAA Munich on September 5.

There are two power variants offered: Countryman E and Countryman SE ALL4. Countryman E has a range of 462 kilometers WLTP with a power-powered motor of 204 dk and a torque of 250 Nm. Countryman E can shoot from 0 to 100 km/h within 8.6 seconds with a maximum speed of 169 km/hour.

Meanwhile, the SE ALL4 Countryman is more powerful with a WLTP reach of 433 km and is equipped with a four-wheel drive configuration and a double electric motor that produces a combined power of 313 dk and a torque of 494 Nm. And the SE ALL4 is capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/hour within 5.6 seconds with a maximum speed of 178 km/hour.

In the company's release, it is called Countryman E and SE ALL4 using the same 64.7 kWh battery pack. Both variants can receive up to 22 kW of AC power and up to 130 kW on DC fast chargers.

This third-generation countryman presents an expressive minimalist exterior design with a distinctive character. This vehicle maintains the iconic proportion of MINI, including short overhangs, short engine hoods, and contrasted long-wheeled axis distances. The rim is also 20 inches bigger, the wheel arch is wider, and the reduction in chrom detail provides a more modern look.

The 2024 interior Countryman is equipped with a curved dashboard covered with textile surface on several levels and an OLED screen measuring 9.44 inches. The operating system is Operating System 9 and can receive voice commands via the nickname "Hey Mini" or by using the push-to-talk button at the wheel that activates the Personal Assistant Mini Intelligent.

Countryman 2024 can accommodate five passengers and has a separate glass panoramic roof. The back row can be adjusted in terms of up to 130 millimeters, which can increase the passenger's back leg space or baggage room. The volume of baggage in its normal position is 460 liters, which can be increased to 1,450 liters with a rear seat when folded. There is also a second-floor compartment to store charging accessories.

In addition to being powered by electricity, the new MINI Countryman is also available with gasoline engines, offered as Countryman C with front wheels driving, Countryman S ALL4 and JCW model outputs that are upgraded by driving all wheels.

The mini Countryman has only been priced at 28,500 pounds, or around IDR 550 million with the first shipment made in February 2024.
