Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Champion Edition, New SUV Complete Feature At Affordable Prices

Chery Automobile is one of the automotive manufacturers from China that rose thanks to its superior products such as Omoda 5, Tiggo 7 Pro, and Tiggo 8 Pro.

Chery is now introducing the latest Tiggo 8 Pro Champion Edition SUV to be officially launched in China tomorrow 8 August. The model is a refresher from the Tiggo 8 Pro, which brings some minor changes to enrich the driving experience.

Reported by Carnewschina, Sunday, August 6, the Tiggo 8 Pro Championship has dimensions with a length of 4,745 mm, a width of 1,860 mm, a height of 1,745 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,710 mm. This car appears with an 18-inch rim with a 235/55 R18 tire, and a 19-inch rim option with a 235/50 R19 tire.

The front gets a refresher with a black polygonal goal beautified by a honeycomb element, giving an interesting aesthetic touch. The Chery emblem logo is placed gracefully in the upper middle of the grip. This change, at first glance, is reminiscent of the design of Audi Q8.

In the cabin, there are two screens with 12.3-inch instrument screens and a 12.3-inch central control screen as well. This infotainment system is supported by the Chery Lion operating system that uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip.

Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Champion Edition became the first model to embed a head-up display featuring important information such as speed and navigation, providing a more comfortable and controllable driving experience.

Not only that, but other features also enrich the driver's experience, including an audio system with 8 speakers, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), and the ADAS level 2 system that helps on the way.

In the performance sector, the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Champion Edition comes in two engine variants: 1.6T and 2.0T. The 1.6T engine is capable of generating 194 dk of power and 290 Nm of torque, while the 2.0T engine provides a larger performance with a power of 250 dk and a 390 Nm peak torque. Both use dual-clutch seven acceleration transmission. The 2.0T variant is available with a four-wheel or two-wheel drive system.

Although the price has not been officially announced by Chery, the estimated price for the Tiggo 8 Pro Champion Edition is in the range of 119,900 yuan to 154,900 yuan (around Rp253 million to Rp326.9 million).

The Tiggo 8 Pro has been one of the best-selling SUVs with sales achievements reaching 20,440 units in July and 117,799 units during the first seven months of 2023.
