Nichols Cars N1A, Beautiful Roadster With Classic Touch

JAKARTA - The automotive industry continues to develop rapidly, with various car manufacturers competing to bring innovation and more sophisticated performance. However, in the midst of today's car sparkling, Nichols Cars comes with a unique and stunning achievement, namely N1A.

N1A is a sports car that carries a classic concept. Made with a rear-wheel-drive (RWD) display that took inspiration from McLaren M1A, a prototype car for racing Group 7 from the 1960s. McLaren M1A itself was the first car produced by McLaren, and now the car has been revived to become a legal performance vehicle on the highway by Nichols Cars.

Maybe Nichols Cars' name doesn't sound so familiar to some people, but the company was founded by Steve Nichols, a designer who first implemented carbon fibers on Formula 1 cars. Steve Nichols' experience in the automotive world includes McLaren MP4/3 designs and MP4/4 iconic before working with Ferrari, Jaguar, Jordan, Sauber, and finally returning to McLaren in the late 1990s.

McLaren MP4/4, a car also designed by Steve Nichols, known as one of the most successful Formula 1 cars in history, won 15 of the total 16 races in the unforgettable season of 1988.

Now, in honor of this achievement, Nichols Cars will produce a limited number of N1A, namely 100 units, each of which will be given serial numbers and all of these cars will carry a 7.0 liter V8 engine that produces 650 dk of power.

The eight-cylindrical engine was developed by Nichols Cars from the LS3 block with a dry pump system, a drive-by-wire shuttle body, pistons and custom conrods, as well as a new steel liner.

Reporting from Motor1, July 26, the V8 engine will be manually assembled by experts at Langford Performance Engineering (LPE), where classic F1 V8 and V10 machines are being restored to restore their glory.

The N1A performance is believed to be impressive because it weighs only 900 kilograms which is 10 percent lighter than the ND generation Mazda MX-5 Miata which is one of the lightest cars in its class. An outstanding power-to-weight comparison is almost 700 dk, providing extraordinary acceleration and speed on this car. N1A is also equipped with standard traction control, while ABS systems and power steering are options that can be added.

In terms of design, N1A is inspired by the classic Can-Am racing car, but it has a wider and larger wheelbase. The 19-inch front wheel and 20-inch rear wheel with Michelin Pilot Cup 2 tires. The front and rear suspension system adopts double wishbones and anti-roll bars, providing maximum agility and stability while traveling on track.

For the N1A chassis using a combination of carbon fiber and aluminum, while the driver-focused car interior is very simple, including only essential things without interference that can reduce driving pleasure.

Unfortunately, the price of N1A has not been officially announced. However, with all its uniqueness and privilege, N1A is certainly not a cheap car. It is estimated that this car will attract the attention of true automotive fans who want an authentic and passionate driving experience behind the wheel.
