This Is Camaro's Last Edition, Can Be Ordered Starting June 15

JAKARTA - One of the iconic American Muscle cars from Chevrolet, Camaro, is entering its old age. General Motors has announced that 2024 will be the end of the model's production period.

But to celebrate Camaro's success so far, Chevrolet released Chevrolet Corvette Collector Edition 2024, a special and final edition of the car with several special updates.

Chevrolet Camaro Collector Edition 2024 will be present in the trim LT/RS, ZL1, SS, and LT1. This car will use the name "Panther", the real code name of the Camaro program in the 1960s, which inspired Chevrolet Performance Design Studio to strengthen the history of this sixth generation car. "We feel suitable for Camaro's collection edition to officially acknowledge the importance of the real code name and share it with Camaro fans. Of course, the name Panther affects the colors used, Panther Black Metallic for SS and Panther Matte Black for ZL1," said Rich Scheer, Director of Design from Chevrolet Performance in an official statement, Monday, June 5.

For the trim LT/RS, LT1, and SS, it consists of a new Black Metallic Tintcoat cat Panther, Satin Black accent line, 20-inch Satin Black or Forged Wheels as an optional, front splitter of the 1LE package and rear spoiler of the ZL1 package.

Meanwhile, the Camaro ZL1 Collector Edition is available as many as 350 units. It is equipped with a front splitter of the ZL1 1LE, and the rear wing of the ZL1 1LE on the couple model. The Black Metallic ZL1 line, red calibre brakes, and black-wheeled nuts complement the exterior look.

On the inside, 350 units of Camaro Collector's Edition ZL1 received a beamed steering wheel badge representing where the vehicle was made in sequence.

In order to add a special impression, Collector Edition Camaro received a unique front fender script badge connecting the body of the car. Also displayed is a panther symbol on the steering wheel badge. This Camaro also features a special floor mat with an aluminum Collector Edition logo engraved by lasers and a unique approach to black interiors.

Speaking of engines, the Camaro 2024 will come with three engine options, namely 3.6 liters of V6, 6.2 liters of LT1 V- and 6.2 liters of LT4 V8 supercharged. The new exterior colors Riptide Blue and Nitro Metallic Yellow can be selected at all trims.

Chevrolet Camaro 2024 is available in couple and convertible on the trim LT, LT1, SS and ZL1, with 1LE remaining options available on SS and ZL1.

Customers who buy Camaro Collector Edition will receive a "welcome kit" containing two posters to commemorate the generation of Camaro and Collector's Edition.

Not only that, the owner of the Camaro ZL1 Collector's Edition will also receive a 45mm Canfield Sport watch from Shinola to commemorate the Collector's Edition, with a written serial number matching the number on the wheel badge of their vehicle and some special touches to commemorate the Camaro Collector Edition.

Chevrolet will set prices for Chevrolet Camaro 2024 starting from US$32,495 or around Rp481.8 million for LT couple of up to US$38,495 or equivalent to Rp571 million in LT Convertible.
