T.33 Spider, New Supercar From Gordon Murray Automotive

JAKARTA - British supercar manufacturer Gordon Murray Automotive (GMA) has again produced its newest model, T.33 Spider. This open roof supercar is only produced by 100 units.

The T.33 Spider was built using the same chassis construction as the T.33 couple. The roof panel is made of light carbon material that can be stored in the front trunk. With the addition of a new roof, the manufacturer must change the rear car body, including providing Spider rollover protection.

Then, there are two additional screens that can regulate climate control as well as an infotainment system consisting of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. T.33 Spider has 295 liter of storage space, including two 90 liter compartments on both sides of the engine.

This car is also equipped with a carbon fibered steering wheel covered with skin and the two seats are made from light carbon fiber. There are switchgears, pedals and dental transferers made of aluminum.

The GMA also presents an enhanced "Passive Boundary Layer Control" system. This system serves to increase downforce. The way the system works incorporating the air channel at the front directed to the back diffuser.

In the legs, T.33 Spider is paired with light rims measuring 19 inches and 20 inches with Michelin Pilot 4 S tires. With the addition of panels and several parts supporting this roadster, T.33 Spider is claimed to weigh 18 kg heavier than the couple version.

In terms of engines, there is no difference with the couple version, namely the V12 3.9 liter naturally-asspirated engine from Cosworth which can generate 360 dk power and 451 Nm torque with a manual transmission of six accelerations.

Prices have not been released yet, but as an illustration, T.33 coupes are sold starting from 1.37 million pounds or around Rp. 25.5 billion and of course the price of T.33 Spiders will be above it.
