JAKARTA - Apart from Christie Basil who managed to break the MURI record for "Fashion Show with Most Creators", there is one TikTok creator who also received MURI.
Alicia Eva, a painter from Indonesia also managed to get a MURI for her action for the category "Painting the Most Heroes in Car Media".
Eva and her car attended the #SerunyaIndonesia Festival held by TikTok in Jakarta on Friday, August 19. During the event, Eva expressed her gratitude for being able to work with TikTok.
"What is certain is that I am very grateful to be able to get support from TikTok. Because according to the TikTok account, it is a platform that always supports educators and creators whose purpose is to help Indonesian children know heroes," said Eva to VOI, at The Tribrata Darmawangsa, Jakarta.
Not to forget, Eva also expressed her joy and gratitude to Indonesia for appreciating her work through the MURI record she got.
Looking back, Eva has also won MURI in the "Longest Painting" category in 2021.
At that time, Eva managed to paint on a canvas measuring 30 meters with pictures of 34 provinces. Eva admitted in her Instagram post that she spent more than 200 hours to produce her masterpiece.
But now, Eva is trying to switch to other media by using a car. Eva admits that the difficulty of painting on a car is higher than painting on canvas.
"It's definitely more difficult, because painting is upright, then the paint used is different, the technique is also different. Then because this is in a car, so it has to be more resistant and storm-resistant (type of paint), so it's more difficult," said Eva.
However, this did not dampen Eva's passion for painting on cars. Eva said that she really wanted to show her work to more people.
"Because if all this time I was making works, I couldn't take them around, so I only saw me. So, I want other people to be able to see them too," he added.
In her car, Eva painted 17 heroes from various regions in Indonesia, including I Gusti Ngurah Rai, Tuanku Imam Bonjol, Soekarno, Cut Nyak Dien, RA Kartini, and many more. Then on the front hood of the car, Eva painted a Garuda bird as a symbol of Pancasila.
When she was met at the TikTok event by the media, Eva admitted that she had spent 19 days working on it, and faced many obstacles. "Yes, the problem must be that I'm tired, achy too, sometimes I also go to the masseur, right, and there's a lot of it," he said.
