JAKARTA - Today's memory, six years ago, March 25, 2020, President Joko Widodo's (Jokowi) mother, Sudjiatmi Notomiharjo died. Her departure made all officials and Indonesian people mourn. Condolences also came from everywhere.

Previously, no one doubted the sincerity and prayers of a mother. Jokowi is the same. Sudjiatmi's support and prayers have always been a source of encouragement for Jokowi to succeed. As a result, Jokowi managed to become an entrepreneur, politician, and President of Indonesia.

No one doubts the role of a mother in life. Mothers have a big role in the growth and development of a child. Mothers can sometimes be a friend to the first teacher for a child. This narrative is also supported by Jokowi.

The Indonesian President felt the important role of a mother in his life. He often talks about Sudjiatmi's role in teaching him to be optimistic in many things. He taught his children not to underestimate the issue of education.

He also taught Jokowi's tenacity when he started doing business and went bankrupt. The support and prayers were very important for Jokowi to rise. As a result, Jokowi grew into a strong figure and has a fighting spirit.

The narrative was seen when Jokowi started to enter the political arena. Sudjiatmi's support was able to bring Jokowi to be the Mayor of Surakarta to the Governor of DKI Jakarta. Sudjiatmi also often attended when his son was holding a political campaign.

Take for example when Jokowi ran in the 2014 presidential election contest. Sudjiatmi did not stop giving support until Jokowi won. Jokowi also did not forget to convey his great gratitude to his mother. This narrative was conveyed by Jokowi in the momentum of Mother's Day 2018.

Sudjiatmi continues to support Jokowi. Even though his health continues to decline due to throat cancer. Later, Sudjiatmi was no longer able to fight his illness. He then died while being treated at the TNI Slamet Riyadi Hospital, Solo, Central Java on March 25, 2020.

Sudjiatmi's departure brought deep grief to Jokowi and his family. As a result, the news of Sudjiatmi's departure spread. All Indonesian officials and people took part in mourning his departure. Greetings and prayers also flowed from everywhere.

"Innaa lillaahi wa innaa ilaihi raaji'uun. We also mourn the death of President Joko Widodo's mother, Hj Sudjiatmi Notomiharjo. For non-Muslims, please pray according to their respective religious beliefs," said Minister of Religion, Fachrul Razi, as quoted by the ANTARA website, March 25, 2020.
