Mahfud MD Bela Prabowo Subianto Becomes Defense Minister In Today's Memory, October 25, 2019

JAKARTA Memori hari ini, enam tahun yang lalu, 25 Oktober 2019, Menteri Koordinator Bidang Politik, Hukum, dan Keamanan (Menkopolhukam), Mahfud MD belak Prabowo Subianto yang baru ditangsinkan Presiden Joko Widodo (Jokowi) jadi Menteri Pertahan (Menhan).

Mahfud considers it natural for anyone to like and dislike Prabowo. Previously, Prabowo's decision to enter the Jokowi government became a polemic. Not everyone agrees with Jokowi's decision. This condition was because Prabowo was previously known as a noisy opposition.

Jokowi and Prabowo's relationship was once in a harmonious phase. Both are known like sworn enemies. Prabowo once challenged Jokowi in the 2014 presidential election political contestation. As a result, Prabowo had to lose.

This condition made Prabowo and his supporting parties choose to be the opposition. All kinds of Jokowi's policies that are considered detrimental to the Indonesian people have been criticized. Prabowo is also known to be a noisy opposition.

Once Jokowi made a mistake, then the excitement could appear for days. The Indonesian people are divided. Some support Prabowo. There are also those who remain loyal to Jokowi. This condition made Prabowo's intention to challenge Jokowi never disappear.

The 2019 presidential election is considered the last fight between the two. Prabowo is confident that he can win. However, again the reality and desire are never healthy. Prabowo lost again. In particular, Prabowo did not immediately choose to be an opposition.

Later Prabowo and his party, the Gerindra Party, joined the government. Prabowo did not deny that the state needed his services, he would be ready to work as a minister. Ulam's beloved pinnacle arrived. Jokowi then appointed Prabowo as Minister of Defense on October 23, 2019.

Prabowo's inauguration led to a polemic. Many think that Prabowo does not deserve to be a minister because he is seen as a human rights violator.

"Hopefully the first political speech (Jokowi) that disappoints can have a little coverage with cabinet elections, especially for the correct law and human rights. What he (the minister) never violates human rights".

"This has been around the public for a long time and speculated on how Jokowi views human rights. And I remember very well, when the criticism was very much in the first period. Prabowo's inauguration brought a stir. Some criticized Jokowi for choosing ministers from among human rights violators. Some also criticized Jokowi for choosing a person who had vilified Jokowi's government in the first period.

Criticism and criticism of Prabowo made Mahfud MD speak up on October 25, 2019. The Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs defended his subordinates, Prabowo. He considered Jokowi's decision to appoint Prabowo with careful consideration. He considered Jokowi certainly could not please everyone.
