Previously, the presence of the Baha'i religion was considered to have brought problems to Indonesia. The flow of beliefs is considered to deviate from the aqidah of Islam. Baha'i did not admit the five-time prayer. Nor did Muhammad recognize him as a prophet. Muslims are angry.

The presence of the Baha'i sect of trust has been present in Indonesia for a long time. The flow of trust is believed to have entered the archipelago during the Dutch East Indies era. However, Baha'i did not easily win the hearts of the Indonesian people, who incidentally belonged to Islam.

Similar conditions can also be seen in Iran. The leader of Baha'i is considered the enemy of revolution. Baha'i in Indonesia itself is considered a sect from Islam. This condition received rejection from everywhere.

Baha'i is considered a heretical sect. The ritual deviates from Islamic teachings. They are not obliged to pray five times until the deviation of fasting. This condition made Islamic scholars angry.

The Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) moved in 2009. They then considered Baha'i to deviate from the values of Islamic teachings. Baha'i has met all the criteria for irregularities. MUI also encouraged the Indonesian government to take part in dissolving Baha'i.

Fatwa hereticals from various regional branch MUIs have sprung up. This narrative makes the development of baha'i limited. They cannot be free to perform their religious rituals. In fact, its adherents feel that Baha'i is a religion that stands alone and is not part of Islam.

Chairman of the Central MUI Fatwa Council, Ma'ruf Amin, when confirmed, if there is a group that claims to be Islam then believes that prayers do not need five times a day, then the flow has deviated from Islam and must be dissolved. "Bahai, according to Amin, meets all criteria as a flow that has deviated from the faith of Islam as stipulated by the MUI. Not admitting five-time prayers, not recognizing Muhammad SAW as a Prophet, and the deviation of fasting, in Amin's view, can be used as accurate evidence that the teachings are deviations," said Rahmat Ari Wibowo in his journal which was present in the Tasawuf Journal and Islamic Thoughts entitled Fatwa MUI concerning Deviations in Islamic Teachings and Belief Freedom Violations (2013).

The Gema of Baha'i religion has not been heard for a long time. However, Lukman Hakim Saifudddin actually brought new news about Baha'i on July 24, 2014. The Minister of Religion emphasized that Baha'i's religion was protected by the constitution. This is in accordance with the mandate of Article 28 E and Article 29 of the 1945 Constitution.

This means that Baha'i adherents are free to carry out activities in the archipelago. They have the same opportunities as adherents of the five religions recognized in Indonesia. This can happen as long as Baha'i adherents do not violate the provisions of the legislation.

Lukman also emphasized that Baha'i is not part of Islam. He is a standalone religion. Users can also be treated equally before the law. This condition received criticism from everywhere.

"As the Minister of Religion, I replied, Baha'i is the religion of many religions that develop in more than 20 countries. Baha'i is a religion, not a sect of a religion. Its adherents are spread in Banyuwangi (220 people), Jakarta (100 people), Medan (100 people), Surabaya (98 people), Palopo (80 people), Bandung (50 people), Malang (30 people), and others. )
