JAKARTA - The national test (UN) was once considered scary by all school children. Their efforts to gain knowledge from year to year are only determined by UN. This condition makes all parties dizzy: teachers, parents, and school children.

Not to mention that there was an incident when school children were embarrassed and committed suicide because they did not pass UN. Anies Baswedan immediately took a stand. The Minister of Education and Culture (Mendikbud) from the 2014-2017 era changed the rules of the game. UN is no longer the determinant of graduation for school children.

The Indonesian government once set the graduation of school children at elementary, junior high, and high school - purely as seen from the UN values of the 2000s. At first, UN was considered fun. The value limit is a bit low. This condition is like making anyone able to pass easily.

Recently, the standard value that school children must achieve continues to increase. Sad stories because they do not pass the UN often appear every year. The roar of protests arose everywhere. They think that the UN system starting from the 2000s era is no longer in accordance with the tastes of the times.

The principle of justice is not contained in the implementation of UN. A student who has studied years ago's graduation is only determined through UN. As a result, teachers are forced to play an active role in training students' knowledge and mentality.

UN simulations were held. Special rituals such as prayer together were also presented. The narrative was done because UN was considered sacred. The result is the same. UN remains scary and dizzy.

Those who are dizzy arise from teachers, parents, and students. In fact, from several incidents those who did not pass while bearing shame. Not a few school children attempted suicide.

The defects of the UN were seen as wider with the presence of many frauds. The cheating option is not only played by students, but also teachers. Teacher involvement because the school does not want to bear shame because the image of the school is bad because of the minimal graduation rate. Parents are embarrassed because their children do not graduate. School children feel like they failed.

What happened behind the graduation achievement was actually no secret: students, teachers, and even schools carried out all possible ways to conquer UN. They are looking for leaks about and the key to answers, teachers 'let students cheat', and schools accommodate other actions that are not hard work for achievement as they should be.'

Various excesses that are neglect of ethics are clearly contrary to other goals from the UN, or educational goals in general: foster honesty, noble morals, and noble character," wrote Tempo magazine report entitled National Studies at Pelupuk Mata (2013).

The UN value as the only determinant of graduation was evacuated by many parties. UN is considered to have many disadvantages rather than benefits. Anies Baswedan also agreed with that view. The man who serves as Minister of Education and Culture feels that the UN is the culprit of injustice.

Anies felt that UN could not measure student achievements as a whole. UN is also believed to only bring pressure and anxiety. Not to mention the cheating practice that was rampant at UN. This condition makes students' skills unable to go fully through UN.

Anies also tried to find the right formula so that UN would no longer bring anxiety. He then tried a new breakthrough by changing UN's rules. He began to reduce UN strength. He then tried to eliminate the UN spur as the only graduation option.

This wish was tested in 2015. He tried to finalize it in 2016. He then expressed this desire into the legal product of the Minister of Education and Culture Regulation Number 23 of 2016. Its contents confirm that UN no longer has spurs.

Anies revealed his graduation back to school. The decision was made by containing an assessment of all subjects. UN itself will still exist. It is considered that Anies will have the opportunity to assess the integrity of students. Alias, the work of the UN will be judged by honesty.

Recently, Anies' role has become the basis for his successor to eliminate UN. UN has indeed been successfully eliminated. The problem is that the next government's inability to present a suitable UN replacement makes the quality of graduates decrease.

"UN like last year, we have started to no longer be a requirement for graduation, determined by all subjects. It is not only the subject that is uploaded. That way whether it passes or not is complete, including Pancasila lessons and religion, that determines graduation".

"With the integrity index (honesty), UN is not only seen by the results of the test but also seen the results of his honesty. There are 1,700 schools that get an integrity certificate out of around 80 thousand schools. So we still have big homework because only 11 thousand are classified honestly. So if you go to school, look at it. If there is a large certificate with integrity, it means that this school is honest in implementing the UN, if it is not there then it is not honest.
