Taylor Swift's Adventures Through Cardigan's Music Video

JAKARTA - Less than 24 hours since it was announced, Taylor Swift officially released her latest album titled Folklore. Containing 17 tracks with the main track Cardigan, a music video presented on Friday, 24 July.

The Cardigan music video begins when Taylor Swift plays her piano in a room. Suddenly a light came out of the piano and he entered it. It turned out that the light took him to a forest and continued into the vast ocean.

Common to all of those places is the piano that continues to be with Swift. Only accompanied by the piano, Cardigan's song flowed simply. It sounded more like folk than the pop he used to perform.

The music video features earth colors like green and dark brown with a vintage feel. Throughout the music video, Swift also wears a white overalls without excessive makeup.

Cardigan tells of the romance of young love which often leaves a deep mark. Due to some reasons, those memories easily stay in the mind. "And when you are young, they assume you know nothing." (When you were young, they thought you knew nothing) are the lyrics that keep echoing throughout the song.

In addition to the Cardigan music video, the singer who was born on December 13 also uploaded all the lyric videos of the Folklore album. The varied visual concept for each song adds to the beauty of this album.

Reporting from his Twitter, Taylor Swift started Folklore as a shadow that entered his head. "I find myself not only writing stories but also writing the perspectives of people I've never met, people I know, or those I wish I didn't know."

According to him, Folklore or in the sense of folk tales is the line between reality and shadow. Speculation becomes fact. Myths, ghost stories and stories about animals.
