'Sweet Home 2' Begins Production, Dominated By New Players

JAKARTA - The Netflix original series from South Korea, Sweet Home, is reportedly starting production for its sequel. Launching jTBC today, October 6, filming will take place next winter.

In terms of players, only two names from the first season have rejoined, namely Lee Si Young and Park Gyu Young. Sweet Home 2 will be filled with a number of new names with story development according to the webtoon.

In the first season, Lee Si Young played Seo Yi Kyung, a former firefighter. Park Gyu Young plays Yoon Ji Soo, the band's bassist who always helps those around him.

Sweet Home is adapted from the webtoon by Kim Carnby which was popular when it was released. Sweet Home tells the story of Cha Hyun Soo, an orphan who moves into the Green Home apartment and wants to end his life.

His intentions ended in failure when he learned that the situation outside the apartment was in chaos due to the presence of monsters. Cha Hyun Soo starts fighting monsters and gets acquainted with the residents of Green Home.

The character Cha Hyun Soo stars Song Kang and is also played by Lee Jin Wook, Lee Do Hyun, Kim Nam Hee, Go Min Si, Go Young Jung, and others.

Released in 2020, Sweet Home received great international attention. The series is also ranked as the third most popular series in the United States. Meanwhile, Netflix and the production team have not spoken about Sweet Home 2.
