Kingdom, Itaewon Class, And True Beauty Become The Most Talked Korean Drama On Twitter

JAKARTA - Conversations about Korean dramas always dominate the Twitter social media network. Every week, there is at least one drama title that occupies a trending topic worldwide.

Seeing this phenomenon, Twitter released a list of the most talked about Korean dramas and films in three years. Kim Yeonjeong as Global Head of K-pop and Korean content on Twitter named 20 titles that entered the list.

Launching Soompi today, October 4, these 20 names were taken from July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2021.

In first place is the Netflix original series, Kingdom, starring Joo Ji Hoon and Bae DooNa. Being released globally makes this title easy to talk about via Twitter.

Then there is Itaewon Class in second place. The drama, starring Park Seo Joon, tells the story of a child who starts a business in the culinary field and competes with big companies.

Unexpectedly, True Beauty was ranked third. This drama starring ASTRO's Cha Eun Woo and Moon Ga Young was released in 2020.
