JAKARTA - A video containing Miss Supranational Creative Director Andrea Sleigh insulting Indonesia has gone viral. The video that was uploaded came from Anntonia Porsild's Instagram Live 2019 Miss Supranational some time ago, where a man's voice was recorded who was later identified as Andre Sleigh, Creative Director of the Miss Supranational organization.

"I'm fed up with Indonesia," she said, who accidentally posted on Instagram Live Miss Supranational 2019 Anntonia Porsild.

Jihane Almira, who was the representative of Indonesia at the event, did not remain silent. Jihane Almira uploaded a photo of the red and white flag in his Instagram bio.

"My intention and goal is to make Indonesia proud and represent Indonesia. Whatever and whoever touches my country, I am ready to move forward," wrote Jihane Almira on Instagram, Tuesday, September 7.

The finalists for Puteri Indonesia 2015 also reacted firmly. Olvah Alhamid specifically made an upload on Instagram to express his disappointment.

"I'm grieving, but we must curse those who insult INDONESIA. His IG name @ andre.sleigh can't be mentioned anymore," wrote Olvah on Instagram.

Warganet also gave comments of support for Jihan and Olvah's actions. “There is only one word AGAINST!!!” wrote one netizen.

"Yash queen oh my god can't we sleep with him," added the warganet.

Until this news was released, the Creative Director of the Miss Supranational Organization, Andre Sleigh himself had apologized via email received on Tuesday, September 7, at 14:12 Indonesian time and his personal Instagram account.

In his letter, Andre expressed his regret and apologized to all Indonesian people. "I fully understand that my words yesterday had a very painful impact on the country I love," Sleigh said in a post on his now-locked Instagram account.

Sleigh admitted that his words were wrong. "I want to apologize to everyone in Indonesia for my words, which do not reflect my true feelings. Making such public statements is completely wrong," Sleigh said.

Sleigh admitted that in the last two weeks since the Miss Supranational pageant was held, she had received a lot of negative words. However, that doesn't justify what he said yesterday.

"I'm sorry to say something that is as hurtful as the words I received. I want to apologize in particular to my friends and colleagues in Indonesia and hope that as time goes on, you will forgive me," he said.
