Synopsis Of The New Korean Drama That's Airing, 'The Great Shaman Ga Doo Shim'

JAKARTA - iQiyi's latest Korean drama, The Great Shaman Ga Doo-shim begins airing on July 30, 2021. This romantic genre drama, starring Kim Sae-ron and Nam Da-reum, has a unique plot peppered with mystery and fantasy. This drama tells the story of two high school students who get involved in a series of mysterious incidents.

18-year-old Ga Doo-shim (Kim Sae-ron) wanted to live as an ordinary high school student, but she was born with the fate of becoming a shaman. Meanwhile, Na Woo-so (Nam Da-reum) is a high school student with an almost perfect life, comes from a rich family, has an attractive appearance, and excels in school.

When Doo-shim suddenly appears in his life, Woo-so gains the ability to see evil spirits, and the two become entangled in various mysterious events that they must go through together. The Great Shaman Ga Doo-shim airs every Friday starting July 30, 2021, at 18:00 p.m. Indonesian Western Time (WIB) on the iQiyi app and the iQ.com website.

At the press conference (29/07), Director Park Ho-jin and the drama cast of The Great Shaman Ga Doo Shim: Kim Sae-ron, Nam Da-reum, Moon Sung-keun, Yoo Seon-ho, and Bae Hae-sun told their experiences during the shooting process. Nam Da-reum is usually known as the younger version of the main character in many Korean dramas, this is the first time she is the main character.

In addition, The Great Shaman Ga Doo-shim is also Kim Sae-ron's first drama after 2 years of absence from the entertainment world since starring in the film The Man from Nowhere.

According to Park Ho-jin, although this drama is about ghosts and has elements of mystery, the storyline will focus more on humanity and the experiences of teenagers who are growing up.

"There is a possibility for season two because the first season of this drama tells the life of high school students, so it is very possible that the story can develop with more complex problems in the future. If the audience likes the first season, I will be happy to produce the next season", said Pak Ho-jin in the drama release which VOI received.
