James Corden Will Change Spill Your Guts Segment On Late Late Show, Why?

JAKARTA - Presenter James Corden is known for his program The Late Late Show which has been airing since 2015. This event has various segments that are packaged to entertain the audience.

Early last June, a viral TikTok video featured a few snippets of the Spill Your Guts segment at the event. The Spill Your Guts segment is a segment where the presenter and guests ask each other about something.

If they don't want to answer questions, then they have to eat the extreme foods that are available at the table.

The TikTok user called the event putting balut (boiled egg dish), pidan (1000 year old eggs) and xuě dòufǔ food as 'punishment' in Spill Your Guts.

“Wow, this looks bad. Disgusted. Terrible," said James Corden in the video.

Kim Saira as the owner of the TikTok video made a petition to have the segment removed because of the negative presentation of Asian food and racism. He also asked Corden to give statements and make donations to Asian American organizations.

Citing Deadline today, June 28, Corden was a guest on The Howard Stern Show. Corden said the segment was not removed but that the production team would make changes.

“We heard the story and in the future we will not use these foods. Like you said, our show is love and happiness, we don't want a show that upsets people."
