This series tells the story of the love that blossoms between two art school students named Yu Na-bi and Park Jae-eon. Yu Na-bi doesn't believe in love but still wants to date, while Park Jae-eon likes to flirt with women but doesn't want to commit.

This 10-episode series is an adaptation of the popular webtoon of the same name and has been enjoyed by fans all over the world. Quoted from ANTARA, directors Kim Ga-ram and Han So-hee also mentioned that they were fans of the original webtoon. Kim Ga-ram said that when he read the webtoon, he immediately wanted to make it a live-action series in order to convey a realistic message about love and relationships.

"Nevertheless" will also show thrilling sweet moments, but with a more realistic side of modern love relationships. Kim Ga-ram talked about the title of the series which is close to the audience. He explains that even though you know you're going to get hurt, you can still fall in love with someone. "Nevertheless" depicts a love story that happens despite the risk of heartbreak and despair. Han So-hee also commented on how she hopes viewers can see the close side of her character and how she wants to be realistic and candid in portraying her character's emotions.

The selection of Song Kang and Han So-hee as the cast of "Nevertheless" has long attracted much attention and has become the talk of many people. Kim Ga-ram said, “When I read the original webtoon, I even immediately thought of Song Kang and Han So-hee. Luckily, they really liked the webtoon and wanted to work with me.” Both actors have received much praise for their resemblance to their characters. Han So-hee is even talented in art and draws some of the paintings displayed at Na-bi's house.

Amazing chemistry

The chemistry of this couple has been seen since the photos and teaser videos of this series circulated. Song Kang and Han So-hee talked about their age gap greatly helping them to become friends and displaying great chemistry. Kim Ga-ram also praised their chemistry which looks very natural when in front of the camera. Song Kang said, "There are many heart-fluttering scenes in our drama".
