JAKARTA - Kate Middleton received a long applause when she was present with her family at the Wimbledon men's singles final, Sunday, July 12. Her presence was in the spotlight when the Princess of Wales slowly returned to carrying out royal duties during her recovery from cancer.

People, quoted on Monday, July 13, reported that Kate came with Prince William and their two oldest children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. The family sat in the front row of the Royal Box at Centre Court.

The audience stood and cheered when they took their seats. A number of celebrities were also seen in the Royal Box, including Anna Wintour, Nicole Kidman, Jennifer Lopez, Andrew Garfield, Tom Hiddleston, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Rami Malek, and Ben Stiller.

Kate wore a green midi dress designed by Emilia Wickstead. The dress was combined with purple and green pins that marked her role as a protector of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.

The role was given by the late Queen Elizabeth in 2016. As a patron, Kate traditionally attends the final match and hands over the trophy to the champion and runner-up.

A day earlier, Kate handed over the Venus Rosewater Dish women's singles trophy to Czech player Linda Noskova.

In the men's final, he is scheduled to hand over the trophy to the winner of the match between Italian Jannik Sinner and German representative Alexander Zverev. The trophy has a pineapple-shaped decoration on top.

Kate often invites her family to watch the men's singles finals. She was present with her husband Prince William, George, and Charlotte in 2023 and 2025.
