"Dukun Magang", the latest horror comedy film starting June 18

JAKARTA - Director Chiska Doppert is back with his latest comedy horror film, Dukun Magang. Produced by Dens Vision Multimedia together with Wahana Pictures, this film is ready to be a treat for entertainment in the middle of this year.

The first trailer released on Friday, May 29, featured a number of students who faced terror in the midst of the process of making their thesis.

The film "Dukun Magang" tells the story of Raka Mahardika, a final-year student who believes that the mystical world is a rumor. On the other hand, his script is always rejected by his mentor, Mr. Arief.

In order for his script to be accepted, Raka changed the topic to the world of shamanism in Kalimati Village, which is known for its supernatural traditions. Not alone, he set off with Sekar and Boiman.

Jefan Nathanio plays the role of Raka in the main cast. He admitted that his character has a sarcastic side but has a high sense of curiosity.

"The biggest challenge is more in the shooting time which is quite dense, because there we are shooting outside the city, where we don't know what the weather is like. That's one of the biggest challenges, but the rest is really enjoyable," said Jefan Nathanio.

Hana Saraswati as the main opponent added, "According to me, Sekar is an interesting character because he has a modern side, but still close to the culture and traditions of his village. I try to understand Sekar as a figure who sees the mystical world not only as something scary, but also a part of life that needs to be appreciated. "

In addition, the film is also played by Fajar Nugra, Adi Sudirja, Yan Patroman, Wira Nagara, Mang Osa, Salsabila Zahra, Dodit Mulyanto to Mo Sidik who also wrote the script.

The film "Dukun Magang" will be shown in Indonesian cinemas starting June 18, 2026.
