JAKARTA - Lolox Stand-Up Comedy tells the story of his character in the film Children of Heaven by MD Pictures with director Hanung Bramantyo.

Lolox is reluctant to talk too much about his character in this film but what is certain, this character will disrupt the lives of Ali (Jared Ali) and Zahra (Humaira) families.

"Yes, so my character here is the one who disturbs the peace of the family of Ali and Zahra," said Lolox in South Jakarta, Monday, May 4.

Uniquely, Lolox tells that at first he wanted to use that Javanese to play this character, unfortunately, when he tried to speak Javanese, his mental image seemed reluctant to leave it.

Finally, Hanung Bramantyo tried to seduce Lolox to just be himself so that he would be more comfortable playing this character.

"Nah disuruh, awalnya disuruh Mas Hanung bahasa Jawa, pas dicoba 'Wis gimana duitnya?', nggak cocok ya? Nggak bisa ya, wong ngapak nggak bisa. Iya nggak bisa," ungkapnya.

"But I convinced Mas Hanung yesterday, I want to get out of this Batak character. You, I love you or not? He said. Well, it's just you, the important thing is to be comfortable," continued Lolox.

MD Pictures released the official poster, trailer, and original soundtrack of the film Children of Heaven at MD Place Jakarta. MD's latest drama film will be shown in cinemas starting May 27, 2026.

Children of Heaven was adapted from the phenomenal work of director Majid Majidi. This film, which was released in 1997, is often shown on Indonesian television, and was nominated for the Academy Awards (Oscar) for Best Foreign Language Film. Not only the Oscars, this film won the LUCAS Film Festival, then the Newport International Film Festival, and managed to win the winner's trophy at the Montreal International Film Festival.

The film itself tells the story of Ali and Zahra, siblings who have to take turns wearing shoes to school because they only have one pair.

"The first time I watched this film, after 40 minutes, I was very touched, and felt a deep emotional outburst. We are lucky to get the IP (Intellectual Property) of this film," said MD Entertainment CEO Manoj Punjabi.

The producer revealed that the hardest part of the production process of Children of Heaven was finding the main characters Ali and Zahra.

"Finally we got the amazing Ali-Zahra. I can confidently say that this adaptation is not inferior to the original," said Manoj.

"In this film, MD presents a different formula from MD's other films. I will all out to promote this film. I believe good films should be watched more. Hopefully this film can be accepted."

Tokoh Ali will be played by talented young actor Jared Ali (10) who has played in six films, while Zahra is played by Humaira Jahra who is only 6 years old.

Apart from the two of them, several casts who played in Children of Heaven include Andri Mashadi, Faradina Mufti, El Barra Varelino Sky, Oki Rengga, Muhadkly Acho, Reza Nangin, Benidictus Siregar, Didik Nini Thowok, Dodit Mulyanto, Lolox, Erick Estrada GP, Slamet Rahardjo, and Varen Arianda.

In his latest poster, there is a dramatic scene of the Ali and Zahra siblings in elementary school uniforms. Ali is seen kneeling in front of his younger brother while sticking out one side of his dull school shoes. Meanwhile, Zahra, wearing flip-flops, stares blankly at her brother.

The audience was increasingly drained of emotions after the official trailer of Children of Heaven was aired. The scene of running shoes between Ali and Zahra also made the breath hold, especially when accompanied by the official soundtrack entitled "Dreams Come True" sung by Restu Van Houtten and can be enjoyed on all Digital Streaming Platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, etc).

This song was born from the cold hands of a famous screenwriter and lyricist, Tisa TS. Through "Mimpi Jadi Nyata", Tisa wants to convey a deep message about a struggle that is not only about the end result.
