JAKARTA - Senior actress Elma Theana can no longer hold back her anger. She officially took legal action to fight against those who spread false news or hoaxes that said her brother's household, Sonny Septian and Fairuz A Rafiq, were on the verge of widening into alleged bullying.

Accompanied by her legal team, Ina Rachman and Uus Mulyaharja, Elma confirmed that her patience had run out.

"This is beyond the limit so I have to take legal action," he said in the Jagakarsa area, Wednesday, April 29.

Ina Rachman added that they had officially made a police report. "Currently, we have reported four accounts," he said.

This legal step was taken after the previous persuasive and summons attempts were ignored. "He said it was... 3x24 hours in-take down, where? It turns out that they may not be deterred," said Elma.

The perpetrators will be charged with layered articles, ranging from defamation, slander, spreading false news, to violations of the ITE Law.

Apart from the criminal report, the family also does not rule out filing a civil lawsuit.

"It is not impossible that we will file a civil lawsuit... so that our client can ask for material and immaterial damages," explained Uus Mulyaharja.

For Elma, this is a fight to clear her family's name. "I'm a big sister who loves my sister... it's not okay," she said.

He admitted that he was very shocked to see how his younger brother was insulted and bullied because of fake news made using AI technology.

Now, Elma Theana and her legal team have given a final ultimatum. "We give you 2x24 hours... before receiving a police call," said Ina Rachman.
