Davina Karamoy's Response to the Stigma of Often Playing Adult Series

JAKARTA - Davina Karamoy admitted that he was relaxed if he was given the stigma of often playing adult series. According to him, as an actor, he is always open to accepting challenges.

"Stigma is out of my control. Fear of what it is not a risk from the beginning and discussions with family management and future projects are diverse but it is a job as an actor so I accept the challenge," said Davina Karamoy in a press conference in Central Jakarta on Monday, April 13.

The 23-year-old actress explained that she chose a project based on the story. Love and 10 Million Dollars is one of the series that she considers to have an interesting premise.

"There are many similar projects that I have rejected but there are some that I have accepted because of the story. Love and 10 Million Dollars is also (I) and I have previously worked with WeTV and Hitmaker. Hopefully, journalists and netizens can objectively accept it," he said.

Apart from the story, Davina also feels that the characters in her series are complex and layered. Therefore, he hopes that viewers can witness the character's changes.

"I'm the son of a record, we discuss even the character of Giorgino. Elina's character is very complex and has layers in front of her husband happy but deep down she is very sad. I was interested in Elina's character from the beginning, which is very unique and new," said Davina Karamoy.

Anthony Xie as one of the cast also added, "When shooting with Davina, I often take one take and Davina brings me as a junior. He can throw me and I throw it back. This is the first time shooting a web series, so it feels really good. "

Love and 10 Million Dollars tells the story of Elina (Davina Karamoy) who is threatened with losing everything after being cheated on and her mother's business was taken over by her husband. One day, Arman (Giorgino Abraham) arrives and offers 10 million dollars to save Elina.

The Love and 10 Million Dollars series will be released starting April 17.
