"Suddenly, tadarus, studies, then use speakers, what is the purpose? Is it that with the use of speakers, people will flock to Islam? There is no history," said Hanung bluntly.
For Hanung, the appeal of Islam should be reflected in the behavior of its adherents, not from the volume of the mosque's loudspeakers.
"There is no such thing as people who migrate to Islam because of speakers. But because of our politeness, because of our attention to humanity," said the husband of Zaskia Adya Mecca.
