JAKARTA - Eid al-Adha always presents a meaning that is more than just the sacrifice of worship. This moment is a reminder of the importance of sharing, to cultivate concern for others, especially those who need attention and support from the surrounding environment.

In various regions in Indonesia, the spirit of mutual cooperation and togetherness is evident in the process of carrying out the sacrifice, ranging from preparation, slaughter of animals, to the distribution of meat to the community.

The spirit of sharing is also realized through various social activities involving the wider community. One of them is carried out by McDonald's Indonesia through the "McD Berbagi Kurban" program which this year enters its third year of implementation.

On the celebration of Iduladha 1447 Hijriah, as many as 25 sacrificial animals were distributed through mosques and pesantren located around the operational area of the restaurant in 21 cities and regencies spread across 11 provinces. In addition, more than 2,100 food packages were also distributed to the sacrificial committee, marginalized communities, and children in orphanages.

"Every year we celebrate Eid al-Adha, but there are often many parties working behind the scenes to make the whole process run smoothly. This moment reminds us that concern can be realized in various forms, including giving appreciation to those who have contributed to the community," said Associate Director of Communications McDonald's Indonesia, Meta Rostiawati.

In addition to distributing sacrificial animals, this year's activities also paid attention to the sacrificial committee, which has been an important part of the implementation of Eid al-Adha. Around 1,400 food packages were distributed as a form of appreciation for their dedication during the implementation of the sacrifice.

Ustadz Baihaqi Zubaidin, Technical Implementation Officer of the Nazir Mosque Program at Bandung Square, assessed that attention to the committee and halal slaughterers was a meaningful form of support in the midst of the crowded activities during the holiday.

"In the midst of a long process of preparing and distributing sacrificial meat, a simple attention like this is certainly very meaningful. For the committee and halal butchers who can work for hours during Eid al-Adha, this support is an encouragement in carrying out the trust," he said.

Not only focusing on the distribution of sacrifices, social activities also target children from orphanages and marginalized communities. Hundreds of children are invited to participate in various activities together in a warm and cheerful atmosphere.

For some children, this experience is an opportunity to enjoy a new atmosphere while feeling togetherness on the holiday.

The administrator of the Anugerah Semarang Shelter, Noviyaningsih, said that this kind of activity provides a positive experience for children who are in their care.

"We see that children are very enthusiastic about participating in all the activities. Simple experiences such as playing together and trying new things can be memorable memories for them. Most importantly, they feel cared for and become part of the happiness on the holiday," he said.

In the midst of the changing dynamics of people's lives, the spirit of sharing that is the essence of Eid al-Adha is considered to be relevant to continue to be maintained. Not only through the distribution of sacrificial animals, but also through various forms of concern that are able to bring benefits to the surrounding environment.

The momentum of Eid al-Adha is a reminder of togetherness and mutual cooperation is still an important strength in the life of Indonesian society.
