JAKARTA - Musician Virgoun again showed his expertise in composing a touching work. This time, his song was chosen as the main soundtrack in the latest film directed by producer Chand Parwez Servia, Monday Price Rises.

Not just a complement, the song is acknowledged by Virgoun to have a very personal emotional attachment to his life journey.

In a press conference, Virgoun expressed his gratitude and pride that his work was given a wider space through a visual medium of the big screen.

For the singer of "Surat Cinta untuk Starla", the song is a representation of two of the most important points of view in his life.

"Honestly, the first time I wrote this song, my vision was two points of view. Between me and my mother and me and my children," said Virgoun in South Jakarta, Tuesday, March 3.

One of the most iconic lyrics, "Someday you'll be a parent like me", according to Virgoun, is a reminder of survival and the growth of self-worth.

He underlined that life is not just about numbers or material, but about values that continue to increase every time.

"What I see is not about currency but about self-value where every week grows and increases," he added.

As a musician, Virgoun admits that he has limitations in telling stories. With the duration of the song which is an average of only five minutes, he feels that he cannot describe in detail the background of the emotions he wants to convey, even though he has been helped through the music video.

However, the presence of this film is considered by him as an answer to emphasize the message he wants to convey to the audience, especially to his children.

"All kinds of stories that are present, problematic, I also experience from my childhood, just like in this film, my mother. That's why this song was created," explained Virgoun.

He also thanked the production house for realizing the anxiety and hope that he poured into the lyrics of the song into a complete visual narrative.

"Thank you for making my song into a film that lasts that long, what is actually happening until I can write this song and my hope is to my children through the song," he concluded.
