The photos were first introduced through a postcard distributed at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, a school co-founded by McCartney.

The project, titled "The Beatles - A Four Film Cinematic Event", consists of four films, each directed by Sam Mendes and told from a different Beatles point of view.
