JAKARTA - Kate Middleton has been given a new nickname as a 'timeless influencer'. Royal experts consider the title to be fitting for the future Queen of England.

Earlier this month, British Vogue released its inaugural best-dressed list featuring the 50 most influential British public figures. The list mentions the silent support of the Princess of Wales being able to change the direction of a brand.

British royal expert Helena Chard said the inclusion of Prince William's wife in the list was not a surprise.

"His style, elegance, and ability to relate to many people clearly support his nickname as an 'enduring influencer'. His fashion and elegance choices that are like models make him a world fashion icon," said Chard, quoted from the Fox News website on Saturday, January 3, 2026.

"Middle-class brands to top designers hope to dress the Princess of Wales and feel the Kate effect," he continued.

According to Chard, the mother of three children has an aura that reminds her of the late Queen Elizabeth II.

"Katherine reflects the combination of the magic and mysterious aura of the late Queen Elizabeth. Her calm and authoritative attitude, combined with a warm, empathetic, and soothing personality. This is the perfect combination that captivates royal fans around the world," he explained.

Another British royal expert, Hilary Fordwich, called Kate a strong and very popular figure.

"It is becoming increasingly clear that this ever-resilient Princess Catherine is a true star as well as a pillar of strength and popularity. She is not only able to overcome cancer, but looks to be thriving and enjoying life. Her resilience is so inspiring to many people," said Fordwich.

He assessed that Kate reflected the typical British character through toughness, self-control, and dignity that the public highly valued. His strong dedication to the task, without being involved in protracted drama, made Kate seen as a valuable figure and considered a national treasure.

"Kate feels close because it is really what it is. Comfortable with himself, his family, and his middle-class background which is the foundation of his strength. He doesn't just talk about family values, but actually lives it," he said.

Experts also assess that 2025 is an important year for Kate Middleton, ranging from the announcement of cancer remission to her role in accompanying Prince William in various state events.

"The fact that Kate is now carrying out her duties with renewed vigour is very important," royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams said.

"Kate is now much more confident, especially when speaking in public, something that used to make her nervous. She is aware that no one else has a profile like her and William in delivering messages to the whole world. The strength of their image is seen from the consistent popularity rate above 70 percent," he said.

Meanwhile, royal expert Ian Pelham Turner assessed Kate's journey to the position of future queen was achieved through a long process and hard work.

"This is a long process of how he supports various cancer charities, makes sense of the trauma he has experienced, and balances his role as a member of the royal family, mother of three children, wife of the future king, and someone who comes from a non-aristocratic background," explained Turner.

Turner said all of this was achieved through hard work, strong determination, the ability to balance various roles, and a deep awareness that every day is so precious after he faced a life-threatening illness.

"He feels he has been given a second chance to do good for the world, and he intends to make the most of it."
