Karina Ranau Calls Epy Kusnandar's Will Asks To Be Buried In Garut Only 'Akting' Beka

JAKARTA - The departure of senior actor Epy Kusnandar still leaves deep sorrow for his family and fans.

However, in the midst of mourning, netizens questioned the deceased's will to be buried in his hometown, Garut, West Java. This had sparked public questions about why the body was buried in Jakarta.

Knowing this, Epy's wife, Karina Ranau, finally straightened the news. Karina explained that the desire to be buried in Garut which had gone viral on social media was actually part of the promotion of films and deepening of characters alone, not an absolute will towards the end of her life.

"Netizens and the public may not be able to distinguish between what he is talking about, where else is acting. That's what he said very convincing people, even though it was a film dialogue," Karina said in the South Jakarta area, Wednesday, December 10.

He emphasized that if it was really the last will, he would definitely obey and take the husband's body beside his mother's grave in Garut.

Karina emphasized that the words appeared during the question and answer session (Q&A) of the film promo After Tahlil. At that time, Epy was asked to imagine as his character regarding the last message, which was then carried to a media interview.

Damar Rizal Marzuki, Epy Kusnandar's son replied that after seeing his father's statement about it, he immediately realized that his father was exploring his role

"I immediately realized, oh, this is his character again. If you are exploring the role, you really like being carried into real life. So it's not wrong to say that, but our family knows it's not a will that must be followed rigidly," explained Damar.

The real fact was revealed from the warm moment between Epy and Karina during her life. In a private conversation, Epy once asked Karina back about the location of her grave. The deceased actually expressed his desire to stay close to his wife and children in Jakarta, instead of in Garut.

"He said, 'Did you really want to bury me in Garut? I want to be here. Wherever I am, the important thing is close to Mother'," Karina recalled imitating her husband's words.

This is the basis for the family's decision to bury Epy at the current location, so that it is easy for children and wives to visit.
