Leonardo DiCaprio Firmly AI Is Not Art, But There Are Benefits

JAKARTA - Leonardo DiCaprio shared his opinion on AI (intelectual artificial) which is now starting to spread in the entertainment industry. On the one hand, he considers this to be beneficial but never considered art.

"This could be an improvement tool for a young filmmaker to do something we haven't seen before," Leonardo DiCaprio told TIME.

I think anyone who wants to be authentic thinks art should come from humans. But, have you ever heard a brilliant smash-up song and you guys think 'Oh, it's Michael Jackson singing The Weeknd' or It's the song A Tribe Called Quest' made with the voice of AI and it's brilliant, "he said.

However, he felt the impression and admiration lasted only 15 minutes before feeling it was not important and had no human side.

"But then he got his fame for 15 minutes and just disappeared into other internet trash. There is no basis. There is no humanity in it, no matter how good it is," said DiCaprio.

This year, Hollywood actor committee SAG-AFTRA and several actors criticized Tilly Norwood, an AI actor made by a talent studio who is starting to enter the acting industry.

Producer Van der Velden who founded Xicoia as an AI studio under the Particle6 studio introduced Tilly Norwood as their first actress.

Xicoia is an AI-based company for recruiting talent for social media interests and interactions and building communication with fans. Tilly Norwood and Xicoia were first announced at the 2025 Zurich Film Festival.

Director Guillermo del Toro, who received the Gotham Awards award, gave a speech containing human work for humans and left the stage with, Obviously AI
