Inul Daratista's Spicy Satire About Imaging Officials During The Sumatra Disaster

JAKARTA - The flash floods and landslides that destroyed the Aceh region and most of Sumatra sparked deep concern from the senior dancer, Inul Daratista.

Not only expressing his condolences, Adam Suseno's wife expressed her frustration with the behavior of officials and politicians who were judged to only take advantage of the moment of disaster for self-image.

He re-shared a video of the Aceh Governor's speech discussing the emergency situation in the area. In the video description, the singer of Buaya Bentung admitted that she ran out of words to see the suffering of the victims.

"My deepest condolences to our family in Aceh and other parts of Sumatra, O Allah .. I can't speak. From yesterday I saw this thought, there were so many disasters," wrote Inul, quoted by VOI from his personal Instagram, Tuesday, December 2.

However, Inul's writing changed sharply when it alluded to the response of certain parties. He strongly quipped those who were busy polishing their image in the midst of the people's cries, while real assistance was considered slow.

"Meanwhile, others with this situation are starting to image everyone!! Preeettlah!!!!" said Inul.

This mother of one child also highlighted the problem of corruption and social inequality which according to her is the root cause of setbacks in handling problems in this country. He considered, as long as the mentality of enriching oneself was still there, progress was difficult to achieve.

"Until 1000 years will not be able to progress. The setbacks that occur, in corruption enriches themselves. The rich are getting richer, the poor arrive at the maximum," he continued.

Furthermore, Inul emphasized that in emergency situations such as flash floods in Sumatra at this time, what is needed is real action from a agile and structured country. It is not just the presence of political party figures who only come for visual documentation.

"Many people are starting to image going to the field, they should immediately act... And action from the state that should be an image if the handling is agile. It's not the party figures who take pictures of mercy, ah!!" said the 46-year-old woman.

Inul seemed embarrassed to see the old pattern where certain parties seemed to let go if the situation worsened, but stood at the forefront during the photo session.

"If it's like this, let go of your hands, everyone. No one wants to be blamed but go down to the field on imaging, the photos are the same as the ones who are in trouble, tired," concluded Inul.

For information, the Sumatra region, especially Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra, has been surrounded by wet hydrometeorological disasters since the end of November 2025. Thousands of houses were submerged and national road access was completely paralyzed by landslides, forcing thousands of residents to flee.
