Ready To Compete On Global Cancah, Bali Culinary Pastry School Prints Quality Culinary Professionals

Not many know, the Tabanan Regency area, Bali stores talents who are ready to compete in the global culinary business industry. This talent cannot be separated from the development of the Nyanyi Bali Group through the Bali Culinary Pastry School (BCPS).

For almost a decade BCPS has developed into one of the most inputted culinary arts professional schools and pastries in Bali, formed by its values, vision, and commitment to quality education. To this day, BCPS is known as an institution that encourages the birth of young talents, opens access to the international world, and creates meaningful opportunities for the younger generation of Indonesia.

Located in the Bali International Training and Development Center (BITDeC) area, BCPS plays an important role in an ecosystem based on sustainable stewardship, cultural sustainability, and long-term development for future generations.

This school was founded based on Made Ariani Siswanto's belief that education is a space to continue values, maintain the sustainability of a legacy, as well as transform life, a vision inspired by his father, founder of BITDeC.

"This principle continues to be the foundation of BCPS' journey: expanding access to culinary education for the people of Bali and throughout Indonesia, as well as opening up opportunities for students from various countries, applying English as a language of daily training to prepare for a global career, as well as building international partnerships that provide exposure to real industries in Indonesia, France, Italy, Hong Kong, and other countries," Ariani told VOI recently.

For a decade BCPS has scored around 1000 graduates from all over Indonesia and abroad, from full-time and non-full-time programs. The school has received students from 66 cities in Indonesia and 10 citizenship, reflecting a strong national range and growing global attraction.

"Ten years later, our mission will remain the same: growing world-class professionals who have goals and passions. This work continues, as well as the responsibility to teach, empower, and create opportunities that have an impact across generations," added Ariani.

Deputy School Director of BCPS, Priska Cinthia Sondakh said, education is about transforming life.

"At BCPS, I watched students come without an understanding of what it means to be professional chefs, and 12 or 18 months later they graduated with confidence, passion, and purpose. Their journey reminded us why we continue to improve quality, because helping to steer someone's journey is the most meaningful job. That's the heart of BCPS," he said.

Students Become Stewards: Future Successors And Drivers Of Genras

The impact of BCPS is clearly reflected on students and alumni, individuals who return not only with technical skills, but also with a sense of responsibility to contribute to their communities.

Among them are Natasha Rachel, alumni of the Industry Access Program Batch V, who started as a student and is now an Assistant Chef Instructor before joining the opening team of K'RO Bali, a restaurant that is an extension of the BCPS ecosystem.

My journey started at BCPS, where I developed as a chef and as an individual. BCPS opened the door for me, from Bali to France. After learning from the best professional kitchens, I am grateful to be back and support students who started the same journey as I have ever traveled," Rachel said.

Another example is Wayan Sudiarta, a scholarship recipient student from the Professional Chef Culinary Batch XI. His journey from a village in Buleleng to a professional kitchen reflects the BCPS' belief that when young people are given the right environment and a real opportunity, they find confidence, purpose, and direction of life.

"These stories reinforce the vision of BCPS that talents are present everywhere, and the opportunity is a bridge that can change lives," Ariani concluded.
