Visiting South Jakarta PA, Paula Verhoeven Asks For Clarification On Administrative Violations

JAKARTA Paula Verhoeven's attorney, Alvon Kurnia Palma, confirmed that she had visited the South Jakarta Religious Court (PA) on November 20, 2025.

The arrival was made to fulfill a request for clarification regarding reports of alleged administrative violations that were previously submitted by his party to the Supreme Court Supervisory Agency (Bawas MA).

The report relates to the South Jakarta PA Public Relations statement after Paula Verhoeven's divorce decision was knocked. Paula's party considered that the statement was not in line with the substance of the judge's decision and caused losses to his client.

"The visit is related to clarification on reports of alleged administrative violations to the Supreme Court Bawas," Alvon told reporters, Monday, November 24.

According to Alvon, the statement of Public Relations circulating in the public seemed to strengthen things that were not final because the decision at that time was still in the process of mitigating and had no permanent legal force.

He emphasized that case material, including sensitive issues such as nusyuz accusations, should not be conveyed openly because divorce hearings through e-courts are obliged to maintain confidentiality.

"We see a discrepancy. Information that appears to the public does not fully reflect legal facts," he stressed.

The divorce case of Paula Verhoeven and Baim Wong stems from a divorce suit filed by Baim at PA South Jakarta, one of whose arguments alluded to the alleged involvement of a third party. The argument was later linked to the status of the nusyuz.

Although at first Baim's lawsuit was granted, Paula filed an appeal. In mid-2025, the appeal decision confirmed the divorce but stated Paula was not proven to have committed nusyuz so that her right to mut'ah and iddah's livelihood remained attached.

Efforts to report to the Supreme Court Bawas and requests for clarification to the South Jakarta PA in November 2025 are part of Paula's legal steps to enforce privacy, improve the narrative that is developing in the public, while maintaining her good name in the process she values is not going well.
