Adipati And Mawar Local Balutan In What's Up With Secretary Kim?

JAKARTA - Adipati Dolken and Mawar de Jongh are brought together in Falcon and Vidio's latest film, What's Up with Secretary Kim? This film marks their latest reunion in the film as a couple.

What's Up with Secretary Kim tells the story of Rendra (Adipati Dolken), a boss who is assisted by his secretary, Kimberly (Mawar de Jongh). One day, Rendra was surprised to hear Kimberly choose to resign from her job, even though for 9 years, Kimberly never complained.

Rendra began to find out why Kimberly wanted to resign so that it actually caused feelings and something he realized had disappeared from him.

"Finally it can be seen from everyone. We have made it from 2021 so we can't wait for that long," Adipati Dolken said at a press conference in Central Jakarta on Thursday, November 6.

This series takes inspiration from versions of webtoons, webnovels, and Korean dramas that first adapt initial materials. Director Rako Prijanto stated that this film was made realistic in order to adapt to local culture.

"Because of the adaptation of webtoons, webnovels, we have to finish the canvas. We have to be sensitive to choose, we adjust it to Indonesian culture but there are 3 main elements: relate to the audience, warm and elegant," said Rako Prijanto.

"What we have changed the most is realist, if in Korea it's made in a technical way. We make it realistic to be close," he said again.

Apart from Adipati and Mawar, this film is also played by Agnes Naomi, Dimas Beck, Willem Bivers, and others.

What's Up with Secretary Kim will be released on Vidio starting November 8, 2025.
