Two Indonesian Hotels Recognized As The 50 Best Hotels In The World In 2025

JAKARTA - Indonesian tourism has again made pride on the world stage. This year, two hotels in Bali have successfully entered the ranks of The World's 50 Best Hotels 2025, an international prestigious award announced directly in London, England.

Reporting from the CNN page, Potato Head Village in the Seminyak area occupies the 18th position, while Mandapa, Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Ubud fills 50th on the list.

This achievement emphasized that Bali is not only a tourist destination, but also a home for world-class stay experiences.

The two hotels are known to have different concepts but are equally strong, namely combining local culture with modern aesthetics that remain environmentally friendly.

The guests who stayed here did not only come for a vacation but sought a more intimate experience with the nuances of Bali.

As many visitors often call it, Potato Head Village provides a feeling of life close to culture, but still comfortable and stylish. While Mandapa is described as a place that makes us feel at home, even though it's far from home.

This year, the world's best hotel title was won by Rosewood Hong Kong. Interestingly, this hotel has only been operating for about six years, but has succeeded in becoming an icon of luxury in the metropolitan city. The building towered 65 floors with a stunning panorama of cities and ports.

"Being the winner of this year is both a surprise and a great honor," said Angus Pitkethley, Director of Sales and Marketing at Rosewood Hong Kong, quoted by CNN.

He called this award very meaningful because it involved a strict global assessment process.

According to Emma Sleight, Head of Content for The World's 50 Best Hotels, this year's list shows the diversity of hotel quality from six continents. But he also highlighted that this year's trend shows the dominance of Asian hotels at the top.

Not only Hong Kong, Thailand also performed strong with the Four Seasons Bangkok at Chao Phraya River and Capella Bangkok, each in second and third positions.

Although Asia dominates, one hotel from Europe, Passalacqua in Lake Como, Italy, managed to break into the top three and is in fourth position. Meanwhile, Raffles Singapore, known as the birthplace of the Singapore Sling cocktail, completes the top five list.

This list is compiled by the World's 50 Best Hotel Academy, which consists of 800 hotel industry experts from various parts of the world.

Starting from travel journalists to international hotel industry players. The assessment includes the experience of guests, service quality, design, and the ability of hotels to present local characters.
