Bollywood Star Radhika Apte Opens Up About Her Nude Video That Went Viral

JAKARTA - Bollywood star Radhika Apte recently spoke about a nude video that went viral on the internet.

The clip comes from her film Clean Shaven where earlier reports said that Radhika appeared in the video. However, the actress later pulled it off.

Radhika also tells the story of her other film, Parched, in which she plays a sex worker. He said at the time that he desperately needed the role.

"I really need a role like this because when you're in Bollywood you're constantly told what to do with your body and I've always stated that I would never do anything on my body or face," Radhika told Grazia magazine.

"When my naked clip leaked, while I was filming Clean Shaven, I was badly ridiculed, and it affected me. I couldn't get out of the house for four days, not because of what the media said but because my driver, guard, and stylist recognized me from the picture."

However, the actress who last appeared in the web series OK Computer later denied that the woman in the video was her.

"Those controversial photos are nude selfies, and anyone with a sane eye would suspect it's not me," he was reported from the Times of India.

"I don't think there's anything that can be done, or should be done, but just ignore it. There's more that's just a waste of your time. So when I got naked for Parched's movie, I realized: 'There's nothing I need to hide anymore'."

Currently, Radhika is in London with her husband because India is implementing lockdown due to worsening cases of COVID-19. He's busy writing scripts and stories.
