JAKARTA - In recent years, running sports have become increasingly in demand and popular in the world. Not only ordinary sports, running is also an opportunity for many people to participate in various events, one of which is a marathon event.

To determine the marathon with the most beautiful route, Sport Shoes involved hundreds of people and showed images of various running routes. They then used eye tracking software to see which destinations caught the attention of the responders the longest.

The longer the gaze is focused, the more stunning the view will be. Once time is recorded and averaged, each destination is given an 'eye-catching' score of the 100 scale.

The first place was won by the Big Sur International Marathon in California, United States, with a nearly perfect score of 99. This route takes runners along Highway 1, through the redwood forest, Pacific coast, and amazing mountain trails.

The route is incredible, but includes exclusive marathon routes. Only 4,500 runners are allowed to participate every year, with a registration fee of 295 dollars or around IDR 4.9 million and strict disqualification regulations.

The second position is fitted by the Great Wall Marathon marathon route, China, with 91 points. Running in the famous landmar in the world is indeed amazing, but the route is quite heavy where runners have to climb more than 5 thousand steps along 42.2 kilometers.

Then the third position is occupied by the Loch Ness Marathon with a score of 88 points. This route offers the stunning panorama of the Scottish highlands.
